Amy O'Keefe is the Director of EDI and teaches Service Design. She leads design sprint and micro-pilot coursework. Amy has consulted on service, experience, and integrated multi-channel initiatives for Fortune 50 retail and global Am Law 100 clients.

Greg Holderfield teaches Design Strategy Studio. Greg was the vice president of design and strategy at ARC Worldwide / Leo Burnett, where he led breakthrough initiatives for McDonald's, P&G, Kellogg's, and Symantec.

Jim Wicks is the Director of the MPD program and teaches Product Design, Thesis Studio, and Management of Product Innovation. He was the Senior Vice President of Consumer Experience Design at Motorola, Google, and Lenovo.

George Aye

George teaches Ethics and Identity in Design. He is the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Greater Good Studio. Before teaching at Northwestern, he was a Full Professor (Adj.) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His career began as a designer at a global design consultancy before joining the Chicago Transit Authority as their first human-centered designer.

Dan Brown

Dan Brown teaches Differentiation by Design and Intellectual Property and Innovation. He is the founder and president of LoggerHead Tools and a principal at Consul-Tech Concepts. He also holds over 30 U.S. utility patents.

John Hartman

John Hartman teaches Communication Design and a number of industrial design courses in the Segal Design Institute. He was previously Industrial Design Lead at Lunar Design.

Amy co-teaches Thesis Studio. She is a cognitive psychologist who was previously the global design research lead for the health practice at IDEO. Currently, she consults as a Principal at Empathic Innovation and serves as a mentor at MATTER, the Chicago health-tech incubator.
