Craig SampsonAdjunct Lecturer


Craig Sampson is an instructor for Designing Product Interactions and CPG Product and Business Innovation Studio, a thesis mentor for the Engineering Design Innovation (EDI) program, and a faculty advisor for Business Innovation Lab team projects in the MMM Program. Outside of Segal, Craig is the founder and principal consultant at TBD Innovation, providing innovation services and guidance to startups and corporations. Previously, Sampson founded and directed the IDEO Chicago office, and was VP and chief innovation officer at World Kitchen. 

Sampson believes innovation comes from deep understanding and new insights in three domains: human needs, technical capabilities, and business strategy — and that their intersection provides the greatest opportunity for real advancement.
