Information sessions are typically offered twice a week during the school year and the times change each quarter. To see when info sessions are offered, check the information board located in the space. Users must attend an info session and agree to the maker code of conduct before using any of the equipment. Learning is expected to be community-driven and self-directed. Many resources are available online and by engaging with fellow makers in the space. Useful links for getting started:
Easel is the web-based software which powers Carvey.
- Cura is the "slicing" software which prepares an STL file (the standard format for
3D object) to be printed using the Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer. - You might enjoy browsing Thingiverse if you're just getting started with 3D printing.
