The newest cohort of EDI students arrived on campus before the start of fall term for Design Boot Camp earlier this month. During this pre-term session, the new students took workshops in sketching, SolidWorks, mechatronics, foam modeling, and how to use equipment in the Shop. This year's Design Boot Camp was centered around the theme "Hakuna Matata," which translates approximately to "everything is okay" from Swahili. Each new student created individual projects in response to the theme and showed off their creations during presentations for the broader EDI and Segal Design Institute community on the last day of Boot Camp.
