The EDI program welcomed 19 new students from 5 countries and 15 different schools to campus for Design Boot Camp in September. As part of this pre-term session, Lydia Davison and Joshua Kim (EDI '18) guided the EDI '19 cohort through three weeks of activities. Faculty members from Segal Design Institute taught the new students sketching, SolidWorks, mechatronics, foam modeling, and how to use equipment in the Shop. The cohort also went on field trips to the IA Collaborative and Procter & Gamble headquarters.

Over the course of three weeks, each new student created individual projects in response to this year's prompt, Resfeber, or the tangle of anxiety and anticipation before a new journey begins. They showed off their creations during presentations and an expo in the Ford Design Studio for the broader EDI and Segal Design Institute community.
