Xiya’s design journey began as a creative outlet. Over the years, this passion has evolved into a strong dedication to leveraging design as a means to address real-world challenges. As a designer, Xiya has consistently drawn on her personal experiences to uncover design opportunities and identify ways to support underrepresented communities. Her design philosophy is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a commitment to making meaningful impact, whether through small improvements or large-scale innovations.

Why EDI?
With a background in Design and Interaction, Xiya has built a strong foundation in UI/UX, research, and prototyping. In this next chapter at EDI, she looks forward to expanding her design practice into areas such as healthcare and physical product development. Through EDI’s T-shaped curriculum and emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, Xiya aims to grow into a product manager who can bridge design and business, creating innovative products that are both user-centered and aligned with stakeholder goals.
