Blair Ye, EDI '28Design Engineering, Inclusive Design, Product Management, UI/UX

About

Blair designs for people seeking direction in uncertainty and complexity. With a background in industrial product design, she sees human-centered design as beginning with curiosity and close observation. To her, limitations do not weaken creativity. Instead, they can open new ways to sense, express, and participate. Blair hopes to create tools and experiences that give people a stronger sense of agency, because she believes design can make what once seemed impossible possible again.

Why EDI?

Blair chose EDI to build the technical side of her design practice. She is moving from product design toward interaction and human-centered design, with a focus on software products and digital tools. EDI's mix of design and engineering lets her turn ideas into working prototypes.

She is also drawn to the program's diversity. Having studied in Italy and now moved to North America, Blair looks forward to working with people from different backgrounds and learning how they approach problems.

Experience before EDI

BS, Industrial Product Design, Politecnico di Milano.
