Why EDI?

Annie's interest in human-centered design was sparked by reading 'The Design of Everyday Things' by Don Norman (who she later found out co-founded EDI!). Her personal hobby in graphic design, educational background in mechanical engineering, and newfound interest in human-centered design made EDI the perfect intersection to further hone her skills. The hands-on nature of the program seemed like a great way for her to put her technical knowledge to practice. She loves that the diversity in backgrounds of her cohort will inevitably lead to unique solutions to the problems they will tackle in the classroom and beyond.

Education

BS, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Oregon State University

Experience

Product Development Intern, TE Connectivity

Misc

Annie loves inside jokes and will spend way too much time photoshopping images, creating memes, or making songs just to make her friends laugh. She likes exploring new places and will hopefully be able to see some cool sights around Chicago soon!
