Kallie Mingay, EDI '24Inclusive Design, Social Impact, Sustainability

About
Kallie is a day-dreamer with a wanderlust for the minds of those around her and the global space in which we all occupy. She believes that by stepping out of one's comfort zone in both a metaphorical and physical sense, there is the path to understanding where form, function, and purpose coincide. Kallie's interest in design innovation stems from her desire to create value on a fundamental level for all.

Why EDI?
Kallie decided to pursue EDI as a result of a lifelong quest to combine her passions for the Arts and STEM disciplines. Growing up, she was inspired by the breadth of knowledge available to her through books, music, performances, adventure, experiments, and countless games of Trivial Pursuit. These experiences also highlighted for her the discrepancies in our past and present society, including representation, accessibility, and privilege. Kallie saw in EDI the opportunity to strengthen her curiosity and to learn how to apply that curiosity to better champion the people, places, and well-being of our world.
