Morana Lundquist, EDI '27Design Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Design

About

Morana identifies as a problem solver, someone constantly looking for friction points or overlooked needs in everyday life. As a designer and engineer, she is driven by the belief that the best solutions are those that are accessible, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the lived experiences of the people they serve. She believes design should be grounded in empathy, creativity, and collaboration and sees design not just as a technical challenge, but an opportunity to bring joy, independence, and agency into people’s lives.

Why EDI?

Morana’s decision to pursue human-centered design came from a desire to bridge the gap she observed between technical problem-solving and real human needs and experience. She was drawn to the EDI program specifically because of its emphasis on community, collaboration, and cross-disciplinary learning. Morana believes that meaningful innovation happens when diverse perspectives come together, and she sees this program as a place where she can not only refine her design and engineering skills, but also become a more thoughtful, capable leader.
