Yifei GongDesign Research, Product Design, UI/UX

Yifei aims to be a T-shaped designer who combines with design, technology, and business. She was an art student before undergraduate, but she pivoted to engineering in college. She also gained marketing experience through her double major in International Economics and Trade. Yifei designs experiences for users to interact with the environment and the process. She has applied her skillset in many vertical industries such as online education, online tourism, life information exchange, fashion, and campus service.

Why EDI?

As an undergraduate, Yifei's major was industrial design with an interaction design track. Now, she is both a digital and physical interaction designer. She chose EDI because the program is inclusive, meaning it provides user experience and interface design based on screen and on the physical environment. EDI also offers a lot of opportunities for real-world projects and studios, which appeals to Yifei the most.
