About

Kiki Zissimopoulos has a range of instructional experience that includes teaching undergraduates, graduates, post docs, and faculty in topics including engineering design, science communication, and pedagogy. Her educational research publications span areas such as student motivation, student outcomes, and course design. She brings this pedagogical experience to the classroom as one of the core faculty members of the Design Thinking and Communication (DTC) program.

Dr. Zissimopoulos is also a First-Year Adviser within McCormick. She approaches advising with the same goal-oriented approach she uses in teaching. She appreciates and respects each student’s unique identities, goals, and interests. She seeks to help students develop decision-making frameworks as she nudges them toward independence as learners.
