Courtney Welton (she/her) serves as senior vice president and general counsel for Allstate’s Business Law & Compliance team, as well as Chief Ethics and Privacy Officer for the enterprise. Her team provides legal support to our Property-Liability and Protection Products & Enterprise Services businesses; delivers industry-leading enterprise Regulatory Compliance, Privacy and Ethics programs to the enterprise; and advises on high-risk areas such as cybersecurity, privacy, data, commercial partnerships and emerging technology such as artificial intelligence. She has an extensive background in business, technology and commercial law, leading a for-profit healthcare organization before law school and spending nearly a decade at Motorola, Google and Lenovo.
Courtney is a Chicagoan, graduating from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law; she currently serves on the Legal Prep Charter Academy board in Chicago for non-profit work; and she lives in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood with her two kids, partner and two dogs.
