About
James has a background as an architect and industrial designer, and prior to joining Steelcase, James lived, worked, and taught in Chicago, New York, and Berlin. Formerly, he was the Vice President of Global Design and Product Engineering at Steelcase, with global responsibility for the design direction of all Steelcase brands overseeing teams in Europe, Asia and the United States.
Currently James is the Principal at Ludwig & Hamilton working at the intersection of Design and Business, and is the Founder of The Foundation Project, an interdisciplinary global collaborative focused on visions, projects and investments for an equitable and sustainable future.
