DESIGN INNOVATIONSEGAL DESIGN INSTITUTE
at the McCORMICK SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

The Bay Area Immersion Program (BAI) is a collaboration between Segal Design Institute and Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, and is primarily intended for students in McCormick and Medill.

In the program, students spend Winter Quarter studying digital media innovation in San Francisco — one of the world's largest hubs for technology, media, and culture. In the BAI program, students:

- Take four courses (2 DSGN + 2 JOUR) in topics such as UX design, multimedia storytelling, and data visualization

- Participate in "Bay Days," co-curricular activities that immerse them in the culture of the Bay Area

- Experience the media/tech scene of the Bay Area today, empowering them to create what's next in that space
