Why did you choose MMM?
From a young age, I was fascinated by the world around me. Starting at eight years old, I would sit on the floor in front of the television watching “How It’s Made” or HGTV as a source of entertainment and explore the shelves in bookstores to learn something new. I remember running to my parents with requests for random ingredients or cardboard boxes, turning them into bottle rockets and replica houses I saw on TV, eager to create and explore. Their support and encouragement of my curious nature have led me to where I am today.
Curiosity is at the core of who I am and has played a significant role in my life- it's a driving force that pushes me to ask "what if" and "why not". It is this spark that ignites the intersection of business, design, and engineering - it is at this cross-section where innovation truly lies, and where I plan to immerse myself throughout my career. I knew the MMM program was the perfect fit for me because I would gain knowledge in business and design innovation. Given my personal passions and interests, this would best serve me to be a business leader that is able to think critically and push the envelope of what exists.
In addition to being curious and creative, community is very important to me as well. Moving into this new chapter of my life, I wanted to join a community that was supportive and truly embraces people and different ideals to open the table to conversations. I chose the Kellogg MMM program to join a community of like-minded individuals who share my passion for curiosity and growth in a collaborative environment.
What is life like as a MMM student?
In my life as a MMM student, there is richness in every day. It's the best of both worlds. At Kellogg, I have been able to delve into the strategy, economics, and finance, absorbing knowledge that sharpens my analytical prowess. However, what makes being a MMM truly extraordinary is the seamless transition that follows—a mere 5-minute stroll to the McCormick building opens the door to a realm of hands-on application and design thinking. As a MMM student, learn something new everyday and have the opportunity to challenge myself creatively and critically.
What have you loved about your MMM experience?
Being part of MMM is an exhilarating adventure unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's more than a community; it's faMMM, a bond that feels destined to last a lifetime. As we kicked off the summer quarter, I loved the electrifying buzz as we all embarked on this collective journey towards our individual life and career aspirations.
Being part of MMM is like tapping into an authentic, unfiltered energy where, much like any tight-knit family we rally behind each other, offer unwavering support during pivotal moments and celebrate every high point. I still remember my first month, wondering if the family aspect was genuine. Spoiler alert: it is. MMM has become my home base, a comforting space where I can truly be myself.
Within MMM, I have been able to show up authentically as myself and build connections not only within the Kellogg community but also with peers in other dual degree programs. The encouragement and backing I've received from fellow MMM students in my entrepreneurial pursuits has been incredibly heartwarming. I’m grateful to have MMM as a part of my journey!
