Q & A

How has MMM made a difference in your career?

MMM was the key part in my formation to connect my engineering background and the management knowledge from Kellogg into an integrated way to tackle business challenges. The experiential classes and the design thinking focus helped me understand much better how to be human-centric in the solutions I would propose in my day-to-day challenges. This was especially handy in technology discussions with consulting customers or at HP, or thinking about fans and audiences at Disney and FIFA.

What value do you think MMM graduates bring to industry now?

Flexibility and adaptability come to mind as first options. MMM graduates have a great range of knowledge and could be working in very different fields and still use their skills. I had several MMM colleagues go to very different industries and add value with their approach. MMM graduates can understand at the same the customer, the executives, the shareholders, the environment they are in and provide innovative solutions with richness of details that you can rarely see out there.

What advice do you have for a student just starting the MMM Program?

Engage in experiential classes, case competitions and potentially more than one internship. Practicing the theory from Kellogg and McCormick classes is where you will get better and better at your skills and identify your strengths when leveraging the MMM curriculum. Also take your time to connect with your colleagues and enjoy the campus life, as this will likely be where the core memories from your time as a MMM student will come from! Also, don’t put too much pressure on what you are going to do right after graduating as it is much likely that will change after a few years.
