Financial Aid
Master of Product Design and Development Management program (mpd²) students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for federal loan funds through the the Evanston Office of Graduate Financial Aid.
Many master’s students find funding through a variety of loan options or through other scholarship and resource opportunities, some of which are listed on McCormick’s website.
Students using financial aid to fund their graduate degree must comply with the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy to maintain eligibility.

Northwestern Student Finance publishes the current tuition and fee rates, and Northwestern’s Evanston Office of Graduate Financial Aid provides detailed estimates of the total cost of attendance.

STEM Promise Scholarship
The McCormick School of Engineering competitively awards the STEM Promise Scholarship to candidates who have followed a non-traditional path or overcome adversity to advance their education in the STEM fields. Past recipients were first-generation college students, were Pell-eligible students (while an undergraduate), attended college after or during military service, returned to college after an interruption in their studies, or attended community college before continuing to earn their BA/BS.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for consideration and submit a response to the optional STEM Promise Essay in their application.
