About
Kevin Kappock brings a unique combination of experiences in law, entertainment, and education, to his position as lecturer in the Design, Thinking and Communications program.
As an attorney, Kevin practiced with boutique Chicago firm Freeman, Freeman & Salzman, PC which specialized in complex commercial, antitrust, and securities litigation.
Kevin spent over a decade working as a television executive and producer in Los Angeles. He served as Vice President of Development for LMNO Productions, Inc. which created shows for networks including Fox, CBS, NBC, HGTV, Discovery, Animal Planet, GSN, and TLC. He was also Vice President of London-based Lion TV, where he ran their Los Angeles operations.
Since 2015, Kevin has taught graduate and undergraduate students preparing for academic entrance exams. During his time with Kaplan, Inc. he has taught hundreds of classes to thousands of students preparing for the ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT. In 2019 Kevin was named Outstanding Faculty Member.
For the past ten years, Kevin has been the head coach of the Evanston Township High School Mock Trial Team – 2021 State Champions (Go Wildkits!).
