Craig ShultzSegal Design Cluster Fellow

Craig is currently working towards his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern in Ed Colgate and Michael Peshkin's haptics lab. His main research is focused on a new audio-tactile display technology called electroadhesion, and in the past he has helped build and maintain an open-source surface haptic design platform (TPad Tablet Project) along with Joe Mullenbach. He received a Segal Design Cluster Fellowship for part of his work in the TPad Phone. Constantly torn between his engineering side and artistic side, Craig has more recently been led to join Craig Sampson in teaching Designing Product Interactions in the fall, where he specializes in all things mechatronic.
